How to Become a Vendor - FOR MORE DETAILS CLICK HERE
Each Farmers' Market has its own local government requirements include permits and licenses by the City
and other governing boards. You will need to get in touch with each Farmers' Market for those
stipulations. Go to this website to find a list of all Certified Farmers' Markets in San Diego County:
www.SDFarmBureau.org click on the "Buy Local" tab, then click "Farmers' Markets".
All the Farmers' Markets are also governed by the County Department of Environmental Health and the
State Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measures. The County and State requirements are the
same in every San Diego market. I have included some links to these agencies below.
Each Vendor must bring their own Canopy (or Umbrella) for shade and everything you want to put in it:
Tables, Chairs, Displays, etc. The market only provides you the space. Each Space is 10' x 10' which is
the size of the average Canopy. Most spaces have room for one average size vehicle. If your vehicle or
your canopy is extra large you will need to have two spaces and/or possibly unload and park off site.
Vendor set up starts no sooner than 1 hour before the markets start (noon in Carlsbad Village and 1pm
in New Encinitas). Unless you are a permanent vendor, do not set up until the Market Manager has
placed you in your spot. If you set up in the wrong spot it is likely that you will have to move everything.
ENTERTAINERS: Different requirements pertain to you. Email me directly at catalystchristy@yahoo.com
to get on the Entertainment calendar for all my markets and other special events.

Directions
Take the Carlsbad Village Drive exit off the 5 freeway (same exit from North or South). Go west (toward
ocean) 5 lights to Roosevelt Street and take a right. The market is at the end of the block on the right.
Vendors: Go around back and enter from the alley.
This market is owned by the Carlsbad Village Association. The CVA works to bring people to the Village
by creating fun and interesting events. The Farmers' Markets are just two of the events that we run.
The Wednesday market was founded in 1994 and the Saturday market began 10 years later. These
markets share about 50% of the same vendors with produce, flowers and plants, and hot and cold foods
and craft vendors.
THERE IS A WAITING LIST FOR BOTH THESE MARKETS EXCEPT CERTIFIED GROWERS ARE NEEDED IN
THE SATURDAY MARKET.
WELCOME Farmers Market Customers and Vendors!
This page contains information on the two Farmers' Markets that I manage in Carlsbad Village.
See sections below for days, times and locations...
Customers
Please come join us every week, rain or shine, at these wonderful markets. We have fresh local
produce, flowers and plants, Hot, Cold and Prepackaged Foods, and various Designer
Handcrafts. In addition, you will find some Community booths with products, services and
information...and always good live music!
These markets are here to meet your needs. I am very interested in your questions and
comments about the markets, so please feel free to contact me.
Vendors
Some of you are at the beginning of the journey to become a vendor, others are all ready and
looking for a market at which to sell and some have been vending for years. No matter where
you are in the process, you will find important information here to help you and I in our work
together.
Before you contact me please read this entire page, it will answer most of your questions. There
are many requirements to becoming a vendor and much to do to prepare for a market. Being
prepared is the best way to become a vendor at any market.
In Carlsbad Village, I only have openings for Certified Producers and only in the Saturday
market. There are no openings in Wednesday. Email me to be put on a waiting list. Thanks!
