The following information will be helpful for you to know to become a vendor at MOST
Farmers Markets in San Diego County.
Keep in mind that you need to get in touch with each Farmers Market Manager separately in
order to get their specific rules, regulations and requirements and to find out about

VENDOR CATEGORIES
There are 5 different categories of Vendors at MOST Farmers' Market. Each category has its
own requirements:
1) PRODUCE - Certified Produce, Flower, and Plant Vendors
2) FOOD - Hot, Cold and Packaged Food Vendors
3) CRAFTS - Arts and Crafts Vendors
4) BUSINESS - Products or Services
5) INFO - Non-profit, Social or Civic organizations
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Vendors are required to have the following listed documents at most markets. All
documents must be up-to-date and a current copy of each document must be provided to
the Farmers’ Market Manager before selling can begin in the Market. Current certificates,
licenses, etc. that pertain to you as a vendor must be displayed in your stall before you
begin, and during, selling each week at the market.
All Vendors:
Every Vendor is required to have the following documents in their files in the Carlsbad
Village Farmers Market:

Signed Vendor Agreement Signature Page
In addition, Permanent Vendors (once you decide you are staying permanently) are
required to have Comprehensive Liability Insurance, including Products Liability, for
$1,000,000 (one million dollars) per occurrence.

Non-profit Status
VENDOR FEES
Fees are paid at the end of each market to the onsite Market Manager. You will fill out
paperwork stating your total gross sales for the day. Your fee, in most cases, will depend
on your sales.
The current fees to participate in the Carlsbad Village Farmers Market are:
Produce, Food and Crafts Vendors:
Space Fee - $20 minimum up to $250 in sales. 8% fee for sales over $250.
Advertising Fee - $3. per vendor
Certified Growers add .60 cent fee per Certified Producers Certificate for each market
Business Vendors: $20 flat fee first time, then must become member of the Carlsbad Village
Association.
Info (Non-Profit) Vendors: No fee.
